Baeby

An end-to-end project from ideation to interaction and prototyping

Project Overview

We are creating and developing a website for new parents who need the information to get ready, prepare, and take action for their first child. The website provided articles, recommendations, and community to benefit first-time parents including health, planning, and consulting with doctors.

Role: UX/UI Designer

Duration: 2 weeks, March 2022
Tools: Adobe XD

Problem

There is not a lot of media that have the information, specialist, doctor, and community for first-time parents all in one website.

Goal

Determine if users are struggling with any process. Determine the flow of the website, and observe how much users satisfy the flow and design.

User Summary

Conducting interviews and creating empathy maps helped the designer to understand the needs of users. The majority of research results from a group of users show that they cannot find the media like websites or apps to provide information for first-time parents. They need a website that collects the information to get ready from experts and experience from others. The result of research reveals that users are very concerned about their financial planning, heath, and baby progression. They are also mentioned to have real data from doctors or specialists, required to have live chats with doctors or specialists for an early stage of health issue.

Pain Points

Data
They barely find real information directly from doctors and specialists.

Community
Users have to find much different social media for other experiences.

Accessibility
Usually cannot live chat with doctors or specialists for any health concerns so they go to see the doctor at the hospital and pay a lot of money.

Research Study

Research Question

  • How long does it take a user from first getting to the website to complete the tasks?

  • Is there any visualization we can make better? (design and function)

  • Are there any functions or features that users would like to have on the website?

  • How do users feel/react from starting the task to finishing the task?

  • Is any user having a long pause during the process or step?

Methodology

  • Moderated usability study

KPIs

  • Drop-off rates

  • System Usability scale

  • Time on task

Affinity Diagramming

Findings

  1. Should have a search box instead of a work search

  2. The menu bar is not outstanding enough

Takeaways

Impact:

“Live chat will access to doctor or specialist faster than going to the hospital like consultant or an early symptom that can see it over the live chat which will save a lot of time”

What I learned:

Even Though people experience the same situation which is being a first-time parent they all have difference needed. The need of the user depends on the location of the user and what environment and situation they need to concern about.
